Arrests at the Minnesota Governor's Mansion, as Protests Continue / by Angela Jimenez

On July 27, St. Paul police broke up the protest encampment which activists have occupied outside the Minnesota Governor's Mansion since the day after St. Anthony police shot and killed Philando Castile during a traffic stop. Late on the 27th, and through the early morning of July 28th, I photographed the continuing stand-off between protesters and police, which ended in the peaceful arrest of another 20 people for Minnesota Public Radio (50 were arrested earlier in the day, some violently). This man, above, shouted at police, "We just want justice."
