Angela Jimenez is a freelance journalist and documentary photographer based in Brooklyn, New York, where she is a regular contributor to The New York Times and The Newark Star-Ledger and a staff photographer for Velvet Park Magazine. She has her master's degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and interned at The Arizona Republic and The Star-Ledger.
